Mary Ann and Miss Mozart
Chelsea, 1764:
Mary Ann attends a boarding school for young
ladies, where she learns music and singing –
and dreams of becoming an opera singer. When
she sees the famous child prodigy Mozart perform
with his sister at Ranelagh Gardens, she is
inspired, and believes she too could go on the
stage. But her father’s financial problems force
her to leave school. Distraught, Mary Ann comes
up with a plan to stay on, oblivious to the
danger it will put her in...

“I think they’re
great. The characters really involve the

as in their family stories.”
